Bentley University

imageWith a little time on my hands, I did a quick tour of Bentley University.  Located in Waltham, MA, the campus is lovely, dotted with red brick buildings, all uniform in look. Bentley sits on a hill so walking the campus is a series of ups, downs and stairs.

Unfortunately the campus was closed but I did manage to speak with Admissions Rep, Tasia Kearse, who was kind enough to spend quite a bit of time with me.

Bentley is known for its business program, but also prides itself on its fusion of liberal arts with business.  It has established a network of “corporate partners,” such as Apple and Converse, so that its students typically have at least one significant internship during their time at Bentley, and many are directly hired out of college as a result.  Bentley boasts that it has state-of -the art technology centers, such as a trading room in its Hughey Center for Financial Services.  It also has a Media & Culture Lab, which is a fully equipped production facility for all types if media:  video, sound, digital photography and design.

This is definitely a gem of a school, dedicated to turning out well rounded business grads.
